We are looking for a skilled and experienced Production Manager with a strong background in mechanical engineering to join our team. This role is crucial in overseeing our sheet metal production operations and ensuring that all processes are executed with precision and efficiency.
Job Overview:
The Production Manager will be responsible for managing and optimizing the production processes, including forming, shearing, and profile cutting. This role requires a professional with a mechanical engineering background who can effectively manage material lists, consumables, and machinery maintenance, including forklifts. The ideal candidate will have strong production planning skills and the ability to lead a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
1.Production Management: Oversee daily sheet metal production activities, including forming, shearing, and profile cutting, ensuring that operations run smoothly and meet quality standards.
Material and Consumables Management: Create and manage material lists, monitor inventory levels, and coordinate the procurement of necessary consumables.
2.Machinery Maintenance: Ensure that all production machinery, including forklifts, is well-maintained and operating efficiently. Schedule and oversee maintenance and repairs as needed.
Production Planning: Develop and implement effective production schedules that optimize resource use and meet customer demands.
3.Team Leadership: Lead and manage the production team, providing direction, training, and support to achieve high levels of performance and productivity.
4.Quality Assurance: Maintain strict quality control measures to ensure that all products meet the company’s quality standards and customer specifications.
5.Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements, cost reduction, and efficiency gains, and implement necessary changes.
Qualifications:
A degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
Proven experience as a Production Manager in a sheet metal manufacturing environment.
Strong understanding of sheet metal forming, shearing, and profile cutting processes.
Experience with material management, inventory control, and consumables.
Solid knowledge of machinery maintenance, particularly in a manufacturing setting.
Excellent organizational, planning, and leadership skills.
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve production issues quickly and effectively.
